Vitamin E Also known as tocopherol, is a fat soluble vitamin. There are two forms. The Dl- form is produced synthetically and the D- form is from natural sources. Vitamin E oil is commonly used in dietary supplements in soft gel capsulates (oil form) and tablets (powder form). In addition to its role as a vitamin, tocopherols are added to many foods, beverages and dietary supplements for their antioxidant properties.
