Caseinates

Caseinates are the soluble salts of acid casein (milk proteins). Caseinates provide outstanding nutritional properties, contain all of the essential amino acids and have a protein efficiency ratio (P.E.R.) of 2.5. They generally have a minimum protein content of 90% (dry solids basis).

Farbest offers a complete line of caseinates. The most common caseinates are sodium and calcium. Other specialty caseinates include calcium/sodium, potassium, and magnesium.

Sodium Caseinate

Sodium caseinates contribute a high degree of emulsification, emulsion stability and stabilizing properties. They are also effective in binding water and offering whipping and aeration stability to food emulsions. Typical applications include whipped toppings, cheese analogs, coffee whiteners, sour dressings, bakery mixes, infant formulas, adult nutritional feeding, confections and processed meats.

Tatua 100 Sodium Caseinate

Product Description

Calcium Caseinate
Calcium caseinates have a variety of attributes. They are very dispersible in water and provide low viscosity properties. They exhibit minimum water absorption, are nutritional, and provide an excellent source of calcium. These properties make calcium caseinate ideal for use in infant formulas, nutritional powders, calcium fortifications, cream soups and nutrition bars.

Tatua 200 Calcium Caseinate

Product Description
Tatua 200 is a spray dried milk protein with excellent flavor properties. It is a bland tasting powder that provides excellent levels of protein and calcium, but contains low levels of sodium, lactose and fat. Tatua 200 is suitable for use in a wide range of nutritional applications.

Lactoferrin

Lactoperoxidase

Product Description
Lactoperoxidase is an enzyme extracted from premium quality bovine milk. It has been shown to be bacteriostatic against gram-positive organisms and exhibits pH dependent bacteriocidal action against gram-negative organisms in the presence of thiocyanate and hydrogen peroxide.

Glycomacropeptide (GMP)

Product Description
GMP is a preparation enriched in casein glycomacropeptide (GMP). It is rich in sialic acid, which studies show may influence digestive function and promote the growth of bifidobacteria.
