enriched in casein glycomacropeptide (GMP). It is rich in
sialic acid, which studies show may influence
digestive function and promote the growth of bifidobacteria.
GMP preparations are also a source of peptide bound sialic
acid, which
has an involvement in brain development in the newborn and an
anti-infective role in the small intestine.
