Farbest has a proud heritage
of custom manufacturing ingredient blends
for the most discriminating food and nutrition
companies in the world. Our facility is located in Plain
City, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus with excellent truck and piggyback
rail service for inbound and outbound shipments.
Our Custom Manufacturing services
include specialized dry blending, particle sizing and sifting,
and sophisticated liquid blending capabilities. Our plant is
FDA inspected, Kosher certified by the Orthodox Union (Circle
U), and consistently is rated “Superior” by the
AIB each year. Farbest has a complete food
development laboratory to help you fine tune your formula or
react to changes in market trends.

Dry Blending
In addition to our standard dry blending
capabilities, we can handle fragile and heat sensitive ingredients. Separate
climate controlled rooms enable us to produce multiple products
at the same
time. In addition, we can precisely spray liquids onto
powders to help dispersibility and dusting problems.
Finished product can be packed in totes, drums, bags,
or boxes. |

Liquid Blending
Farbest’s liquid blending facilities
consist of precision liquid metering and proportioning systems
that can also produce high speed batches. We
can liquefy powders in addition to blending them into complex
liquid ingredient systems. Our
bulk liquid handling capabilities allow us to handle your
bulk liquids both inbound and outbound. |

Testing and Quality Assurance
Chemical and physical tests
are conducted in house, while micro testing is
entrusted to certified laboratories.
All processes are HACCP controlled. |
Indoor bulk tank loading/unloading
insure
strict sanitation requirements are adhered to. Liquid blends
can be packed into totes, drums, or tankers with Nitrogen
sparging as an option.
Particle Sizing
Separate mills allow us to provide you
with particle sizing from 20 to 140 Mesh. Sweco sifters and
rare earth magnets assure the
utmost in foreign object and metal detection protecting your
finished product. Your products can be packed in super sacks,
drums, boxes, or multi-wall bags. |
